Men wrote the Bible……that’s a problem!

The established organized traditional churches in the world have been deceiving themselves and all of us when they say the Bible is “Gods word”. Surely this would be true, if it were true that God needed a book to speak to us. This is not blasphemy that I am speaking. I know it sounds like it is, because we have been conditioned by the churhes to believe this falsehood throughout our experience with what is known today as “christianity” . I’m not sure why it’s necessary to believe  this obvious untruth in order for the message within it, to “ring” true. It’s as if the truth that resides within the pages of the Bible, could not hold it’s merit without excusing men from any political, personal or manipulation of the scripture. Mankind boastfully claiming incorruptibility?  The Bible even from a historical point of view is a “collection” of 66 individual books from literally hundreds of books and ancient writings. The idea that God could only truly reside within a specific Kings “version”, on it’s face, is preposterous. Had the scriptures been enough for our understanding of the Father, He would not have needed to send to us the Comforter (Holy Spirit). Remembe,r that  His Kingdom is within us, not in a book or document. Only the Holy Spirit can teach us Gods truth and His true will. There are no words to describe God. Therefore do not let the doctrines, words or the languages of men keep you from the Spirit of Truth. Trust the Spirit. Doubt mankind. If men had a hand in it. I guarantee it’s defiled. If you truly know Him. You will recognize this Truth. Do not misunderstand what I am saying here. The Bible is a powerful and important record of the life of Christ written by believers and eye witnesses to Christ. Much is to be learned from it. But dont make into a diety. It is a book, written by men, not angels or Christ. Think about this; why didnt Christ just write His own book? Well I think that’s pretty obvious. He knew it would be corrupted by men for their own purposes. He knows about corruptibility. If you know Christ, you also know this. That is the proof right there. The Holy Spirit is incorruptable. Incorruptibility is the reason Christ sent us a “Spirit” to guide us to ALL truths. He knew the hearts of men would manipulate His witness on earth for their own purpose. Please be aware of these truths when your building your faith. A foundation of truth is vital to understanding. Christ is Truth. So build your house on Christ through the Holy Spirit! Not a book!

  • Brother-Dave:

God has no religion. No language, No symbols, No words to describe Him. He is Spirit and only through Spirit can you know Him (IT)

We have all been decieved that any words of men are the words of any gods. Dave, following your logic, you should be a believer in every religion that has ever existed in the world and any religion thereafter. You should also believe in the tooth fairy and santa clause or not believe any of it. If it is all created by man, how can any religion based on some make believe supernatural being have any validity? In my opinion, religion as well as god and/or gods was/is created by humans. And that is okay. At least you are on the path to admit that.

Repoman’s other half here. Just wanted to give props for your interpretations. They are appreciated and refreshing. I’m no fan of organized religion (or anything else for that matter) … in fact, I became ordained online in about 30 seconds just to make a point that there’s nothing magical, special or powerful about having “the Rev.” in front of one’s name. My “rev” holds the same meaning as just about anyone else’s. In fact, I think every man and woman in the free world should become ordained.
I also learned while going through the academic machine that *tried* to make me shun God that there are Christ-like stories predating the New Testament (ie “Gilgamesh”). Instead of making me doubt the power of this “tale” it instead solidified my beliefs in the goodness of the Christ figure. So what if these writings are allegorical; it’s the message that matters and how we use it. Peace.
